Message ok i have been having trouble determining the proper ring end gaps for the first and second compression rings i know what the fsm says but we will have and EFFECTIVE COMPRESSION RATIO of near 20:1 after boost and i am under the impression that the ring gap should be larger then stock for the higher cylinder pressures. so ..... the question is how much larger ?

also while i have you here the oil rings are locking rings(the ends have no gap, they touch) correct?

also the machine shop that takes my motors has been telling me that ross pistons builds the tolerences into the pistons (stock bore tolerence s .0018 low si content forged pistons is .0040 or abouts) so the question is does any one know if they are or not?

p.s. i have already called ross and those dingle berries couldnt tell me which scares me a little but then again i spoke to a sales rep not a tech man so ..... who knows

any information is greatly appreciated thanks in advance
